WHO ARE WE?
We are a not-for-profit association, dedicated to restoring biodiversity in the Mediterranean biome.
Humanity is facing an existential crisis, unprecedented in our history. We cannot continue participating in this madness, pretending that everything will be fine.
Without biodiversity, there is no future for humanity.
Much of the Earth’s biodiversity is in jeopardy due to human over-consumption & activities that destroy ecosystems.
Today, species are declining in rates unprecedented in human history, estimated at 1,000 times higher than natural extinction rates. Many scientists now believe we are in the midst of a 6th mass extinction event & HALF OF ALL SPECIES on Earth will be wiped out within the NEXT CENTURY.
THIS HAS TO STOP. WE MUST BE THE CHANGE.
WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
We started our project in 2019, not knowing where it would lead us. Today, we have no doubt that we are on the right path: It is imperative to transform our degraded lands into fertile & resilient ecosystems, to enable future generations to better adapt to the changes they will be facing.
We think this is so urgent, that we have committed ourselves full-time & work on a 100% volunteer basis. With your help, this is how we see our project moving forward:
Expand our land stewardship & continue to transform degraded land into thriving ecosystems.
Provide the necessary tools & support to others, also committed to transforming their land into a sanctuary for wildlife & biodiversity.
Re-connect people with what matters, through our volunteer program & community supported initiatives, opening doors to a more sustainable future.
WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD?
There is no doubt that our future will be turbulent, as we are now beginning to see the full scale of our impact on the planet.
We can minimize that impact, by changing our behavior, by changing our relationship to the natural world & by supporting people who are committed to being the change.
